IMG_8762Blog Pic 1Many times people think you have to spend tons of money for good quality makeup, when the reality is it’s way more affordable than you think! You can beat your face and look flawless using drugstore products! CVS Pharmacy has everything you need to complete your entire look. They are the destination for drugstore beauty, not just a place where you pick up prescriptions! Now they offer more beauty than ever with all the brands you love including NYX, L’Oreal, Revlon, and CVS Pharmacy exclusive brands such as Nuance Salma Hayek, Makeup Academy (MUA) and more!

IMG_8803I recently took a trip to CVS Pharmacy to stock up on makeup since I needed some essentials for my daily look. Truthfully, I had to have a lot of self-control because there was so much I wanted to buy! In every aisle they have something I need from makeup, to hair products, to food! But I stayed focused for the most part and only bought makeup (except some coffee and popcorn, don’t judge me).

I started with buying new foundation. I have some already, but I needed to purchase a new color to match my skintone for the fall/winter now that I am losing my summer tan (unfortunately). One of my go-to products is Maybelline Fit Me’s Matte and Poreless Foundation in 330 Toffee Caramel. It provides great coverage without looking too heavy or cakey!IMG_8729

I used to actually be hesitant about buying foundation from drug stores because if it didn’t match my skin tone, I wouldn’t be able to return it after opening it and trying it on. However, I love that I can enjoy risk-free shopping at CVS Pharmacy thanks to a 100% satisfaction Beauty Guarantee on beauty purchases! If you’re dissatisfied for any reason, you can return the beauty product (opened or unopened) along with your receipt to any store for a full-price refund! How amazing is that!? It really makes my shopping experience so much better and stress free!

For concealer I purchased Maybelline’s Cover Stick in 145 Deep Beige. It works great for covering dark circles, highlighting and contouring!

Now let’s talk eye makeup! I purchased some really great items that I’m super excited about. I really love NYX’s Eye Shadow Base. It works just as well as any high-end brand but for more than half the price! It’s a great primer to put on your eyes before applying eye shadow. I actually even use it alone from time to time for a natural eyeshadow look!

I am a pretty “natural girl” when it comes to eye makeup, so I bought the Make Up Academy (MUA) Nude Eye Shadow Palette. It has great shades of nudes along with a few darker shades and the colors are very pigmented. It also has a great mix of both matte and shimmer eye shadows.

To complete the eye look, I used L’Oreal’s Voluminous Cat Eye eyeliner in blackest black. Its felt tip makes it super easy to apply a cat eye without taking 20 mins (lol!).

For full lashes I used L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara. My eyelashes are pretty long, but this really helped to both accentuate the length and the volume of them.

Of course my eyebrows always have to be defined and sculpted, so I used Ardell’s Brow Pomade. It is very creamy and gave me bold eye brows that really stand out.

Since this is my daily look I like to keep my lipstick pretty simple. I love (I’m actually kind of obsessed over it actually) NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream. They have so many great colors to choose from! For this look I used one of my go-to colors, London! It’s the perfect nude lipstick!

Last but not least is my favorite part of applying makeup, highlighter! I used Maybelline’s Master Strobing Stick in Medium Nude Glow. It’s effortless to apply and has a smooth creamy texture. You don’t even need a brush or applicator to use it!

That is all of my essentials for my daily look! There’s so much more I could get into, but you really have to stop by CVS Pharmacy yourself to see everything they have! You’ll love all that you see!
