I recently took a trip to CVS Pharmacy, my destination for drugstore beauty! It has so many great beauty products to offer. During my visit I purchased some super cute metallic nail polish from Essie to get ready for the Holiday Season!
Achieving this look at home is super easy and simple! I am always sure to apply a base coat before painting my nails and finish with a top coat to prevent chipping and to ensure long lasting polish wear. Essie’s “All in One” is a base coat, top coat and strengthener so you can use that for all purposes.
To start, I applied Essie’s “All in One” base coat. Then I painted my nails with Essie’s “Penny Talk” and achieved a bold, metallic, chrome look. It really makes a huge statement and it is perfect for Holiday Parties and New Years. Lastly I used Essie’s “No Chips Ahead” anti-coat and shine top coat to prevent chipping. I can’t wait show them off at my next Holiday event!
Some other great colors are “Good as Gold” and “Sand Tropez”. “Good as Gold” is another great metallic color, and “Sand Tropez” is a little more neutral and natural looking but still looks fabulous and festive when layered with a glitter polish such as “Summit of Style”. Last but not least, of course you can’t go wrong with a statement red. “Wrapped in Rubies” is a deep red with a hint of gold giving it a nice shimmer.
