Embracing Frizzy Hair

If you know me, you would know that I usually hate frizzy hair. Throughout my entire natural hair journey I've always hated any hint of frizz. I would spend tons of time and money searching for the perfect product to combat it and keep my curls perfectly defined. But now that summer is approaching and the humidity has started to come back again, frizzy hair is becoming harder and harder to tame. So I've finally come to the point where I am just going to embrace and own it.I recently just got a roller set, but in less than a week, it went to complete frizz (as pictured above). Normally I would either wash it and do it all over again, or throw it in a bun at this point. But this time I actually loved it! I felt like Diana Ross lol. I loved how big and fluffy it was, and I actually got a lot more compliments on it than I thought I would. I think when you wear it with confidence, it makes it look better too. Hating it takes the fun out of natural hair and just makes it unnecessarily frustrating. Plus who doesn't like big hair? It truly is a great look and a really fun accessory to any outfit. I was also able to give it some shape with doing a few chunky twist outs. But at the end of the night, it got even bigger and frizzier lol but I still rocked it.Now, don't get me wrong. I don't think I am going to purposely make my hair frizzy or use less product to make it look frizzier, but now I am going to be able to make my wash and go's last a lot longer! Less work for me and more versatility ;).So I hope this post encourages you to let loose and learn to love your hair this summer no matter how big and frizzy the humidity makes it!Xoxo, jesssig
