Trusting God's Plan
Happy Monday everyone! Our favorite day of the week woo!! Lol. Welp, no better way to brighten up your Monday than to talk about Jesus, right? Lol. So I want to share with you guys some of the things God has been speaking to me about. One of the major things is trusting His plan. A lot of times we wonder, "What is God's will for my life? What are his plans for me?" When really we should be asking, "How can I be apart of God's plan." We need to focus more outward on God and what he is doing than inward on ourselves. Why? Because God already has a plan. He says, "For I know the plans I have for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," (Jeremiah 29:11). Yet sometimes we still worry about the future and try to take control of it by mapping out our own path. And if we're not t0o busy trying to plan it out, we're asking God to show us the entire blueprint of our lives! But what God really wants is for us to trust him to show us the way step by step. God can do wayyyy more in his timing and his way than we can on our own. So we don't need to know the whole plan. He will direct us if we listen to his voice. But maybe, sometimes, we know this already. We know that God will direct us on the journey. But we don't listen because of fear. And when we live in fear, that means we don't have faith. If you know the story of Abraham, God simply said, "Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family, and go to the land that I will show you," (Genesis 12:1). That's it. God didn't even tell him a place he was going. He just said to go. Actually, he also said to leave everything! His country and family in order to follow him. And Abraham went! This shows that he had to truly rely on God every step of the way. He was literally walking by faith. Great faith. Still, I'm sure Abraham had lots of fears and doubts. Not knowing where he was going, what was ahead, how was he was going to make a living-- none of that. Yet he continued to trust God to take care of him instead of letting fear paralyze him.How many times has God told you to "go" and you said "no"? You wanted to know exactly when, what, who how,--all the Five W's, plus the answers to the 500 "what if's" you think of that will never actually happen lol. How many opportutinites you think you might have missed because of your lack of faith? I know I have probably missed out on a lot. And I still ask God those questions about some things even now. But I am trusting God that he is going to direct me because he has a plan, and I am apart of his perfect will. As long as I remain close to him and abide in him, I'll be in the center of his perfect plan. He probably won't tell me everything right away and he might leave out a lot of details like he did with Abaraham. But when you learn to follow God one day at a time, that is when you experience freedom. You're free from fear, worry, doubt, and all uncertainties. Your life is in far better hands when you surrender it to Christ than taking control of it and keeping it in your own hands. So give your plans to him and trust his. He will guide you the entire way.Until next time,
