Happy Monday beautiful people! I hope you are enjoying this gorjess sunny day! Okay so recently I’ve been consistently working out! Summer will be here before you know it so I’m not playing now! LOL. So the other day I whipped up this super quick and easy protein shake that needs minimal ingredients! It is perfect for adding the necessary protein your body needs to build your muscles right after you work out (I drink my green smoothie first to give me energy for my workout). It contains 12.5 grams of protein, 10 grams of fiber, and 1 gram of potassium! Sounds great right? Try it out ;)
The past two weeks or so I’ve been cheating A LOT when it comes to my healthy eating habits (not horrriblyy...but not as healthy as I should have been). And so I was actually feeling a little guilty about it! It can be really hard to eat healthy when you are super busy with school, work, your social life, and everything else under the sun! I’m sure many of you can relate, but don’t let it stop you from eating right, and don’t beat yourself up when you get a little off track. It is really easy to turn back around!
So instead of making excuses, I just forced myself to get back to my healthy eating habits. This recipe was a superrrr easy, quick and tasty way to contribute to them! As I’ve said before, I’m not vegetarian–but I do try to eat meatless most of the time. This was actually my first time cooking tofu and if I must say myself, it came out really good! Lol but if you don’t like tofu you can add chicken! So try it out and let me know what you think!!!
If you know me, you already know that I absolutely loveeee my green smoothie! I can’t go a day without it! It is full of vitamins and minerals including fiber, amino acids, iron, and so much more. Most American’s don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables on a daily basis, so this smoothie makes sure you get your daily dosage! This smoothie has made my skin clearer and glowy, my hair longer and healthier, and it has given me more energy! I am still a coffee drinker (bad, I know) but I am not nearly as dependent on it as I used to be because of this smoothie! I’ve replaced coffee with smoothies and now I only drink coffee once in awhile or during finals week–lol. Also! The green smoothie has encouraged me to change other areas of my diet and jump start my health journey. Your body craves what you put in–so if you eat healthy foods, you’ll desire it.
