Last week I showed you guys Target’s awesome Beauty Box and a little bit about all the awesome products I got! If you didn’t read my post, it is a beauty box subscription that is filled with a variety of sample size and full sized makeup, hair, nail, fragrance, and skin-care products each month! This month I got the products below in my Target Beauty Box:

  1. Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner
  2. Curls Crème Brulee Whipped Curl Cream
  3. Dove Quench Absolute Crème Serum
  4. SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  5. Colgate Optic White Platinum Express White Toothpaste
  6. Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I love them all and you can read more about them in detail in my last post here!

I wanted to show how great the products in the box are so I did a pictorial on how to detangle and do a braid-out using Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner and SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

Step 1:

I styled this braid-out from an old wash and go. First divide your hair into a section and spray with Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner. I use this to moisturize and soften my curls to detangle. The Leave-In smells so good and refreshing and really helps to make it easy to glide my comb through it. It is great for all textures and hair types. It can be used not only for detangling and as a leave-in, but it can be used to protect your hair before applying heat or going in the sun due to its Aloe Vera and essential oils ingredients.

Use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle your hair. Start from your ends to avoid breakage.

Step 3:

Apply Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil and comb through to make sure it is evenly distributed throughout your hair. This made my hair super soft and shiny. It has a great consistency and gives great moisture. It is also great to protect against heat and the Jamaican Castor Oil ingredient helps to strengthen hair and promote growth.

Step 4:

Braid into a medium size braid.

Repeat steps 1-4 until the entire head is braided. I ended up with 10 braids but you can have more or less depending on how big you want the waves.

Step 6:

Leave the braids in until they are completely dry (since they will be damp from the Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner). I left mine in over night but you can take yours out sooner if you’d like.

Once they are dry, simply take out the braids and your done!

Super quick and easy style that will leave your hair shiny, moisturized and healthy!

This month’s beauty box has already sold out, but you can get the products I mentioned above at!
