Aztec Bentonite Clay Mask For Clear Skin

Happy Monday!!! So the other day I posted on Instagram about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Bentonite Clay mask I use and I received a lot of questions about it. So I figured I’d make a blog post about it to give you more details and answers!

This is by far one of my favorite products for my face. As some of you know, I try my best to use all natural products for my skin. This is 100% natural with super powerful affects. It is a deep pore cleanser so it literally digs deep into your pores and pulls out the dirts and toxins. So it is really good for fighting and preventing acne as well as getting rid of blackheads (which literally is dirt).

To make the mask is super simple. All you need to do is mix it with half clay, and half organic apple cider vinegar (ACV) in a plastic container (it could stick to and ruin glass bowls–after all, it’s real clay). So about 1 tablespoon of each– but I don’t even measure it. I just guesstimate and I know it is perfect once it has a thick, creamy consistency.

While using it your skin will start to pulsate and feel a little tingly. Sounds a little scary, I know lol but this is actually a good thing! This means that it is working! But if it starts to burn a lot you might be allergic and so you should take it off immediately.

Leave it on for about 20 minutes or until it is completely dry and then wash it off with warm water. After, your skin will be a little red but that is okay too and also a good thing! It turns red because the clay helps the blood circulation in your skin which speeds up the healing process of acne. It’ll also have a nice natural glow which is what we really want! The redness goes away in a few minutes and I also put a little bit of coconut oil on after to moisturize and soothe it.

Here are the answers to some your questions:

What are the benefits?

  • Helps get rid of acne and black heads
  • Exfoliates
  • Has antibacterial properties
  • Anti-aging (exfoliation helps with cell-turnover)

How often should I use it?

If you have really bad acne and breakouts, you should use it every day until the acnes improves (about 2 weeks). Last year I went through a period of having really bad acne. I was so upset and insecure about it. So I used this every day and it really helped. Once my acnes got better I reduced it to every other day, and then eventually to twice a week (which is what I do now). It can also be used a spot treatment– just mix a little bit of it with ACV and apply it on the blemishes.

So if you don’t have any breakouts or anything, it is good just to use it twice a week to keep your skin remain healthy, blemish free and glowy!

Where can I get it?

You can get it here on Amazon for only $8 bucks. That’s another thing I love about it–its cheap and literally lasts me at least 6 months. Also if you don’t have apple cider vinegar, I highly recommend Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. Its the only brand of ACV I use and you can buy it here on amazon as well.

Hope this was helpful and answered some of your questions! Comment below and let me know how it works for you!

Definitely worth the price since I use it a lot!
